To know God and to make Him known

A Message from Robert Bortins

To those who have suffered loss,

I am sending this letter to you wrapped in the thoughts and prayers of the whole Classical Conversations’ family. Just as we are all part of one body in Christ, so too are we all part of one family, one community, in CC. I know that you have suffered loss and are hurting right now. We mourn your loss and grieve with you. If any of our CC families are affected like this, we all are affected. We are praying for you, but we want to do more. We intend to stand with you and walk alongside you on this difficult journey, but we also intend to pray with and for you at this difficult time.

How can we help you? How can we pray for you? On the web page you just visited are links to a variety of services that are available to you in this time of need. I encourage you to share your physical needs with us along with your prayer requests and praises so that we can weep with you as you weep, rejoice with you as you rejoice and share our cloak (or curriculum) with you as you have need of it.

The Psalmist wrote, “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth” (Psalm145:18, NIV), and we are all praying that the Lord will be near to you at this time, but I encourage you also to call upon the Lord yourself. Even though He already knows your needs better than you do yourself, He still wants His children—us—to come to Him and ask. It gives our Heavenly Father great joy to be able to meet the needs of His children, so go to Him in confidence and gratitude for all that He has done and will do for you, and in you, and through you.

Please know that Classical Conversations values each family, and we want to do all we can to help. We are already committed to walking beside your family as you homeschool, now we are also committed to helping you get your lives back to normal as quickly as possible. We wish God’s love and peace on all of you and may we all show Christ’s love in all that we do and say. “To God be the glory; great things He has done” and is continuing to do in your lives!

Your brother in Christ,
